Call them distressed. Ripped. Destructed. Shredded or Tattered Jeans and you’ll still be right. Also known as vintage because of their worn look which is as a result of the rips or tears ‘bestowed’ upon them by their manufacturers, it seems this fashion staple has come to stay.

This post will be in two parts. This first part will be that of me showing how I do wear my distressed jeans while the second part will be that of various looks from celebrities.

Here I go…

  • With leather jacket and a pair of leggings

Cold weather but I badly wanted to rock this distressed jeans, so I wore leggings under. This sure kept me warm and gave the jeans a different look. You can wear tights or very light leggings under your distressed denim for a new look or if you’re more daring, you can go with the new trend, which is wearing fishnet under distressed jeans.

  • With distressed Jean jacket

I paired the distressed jeans with a slightly distressed jeans jacket. I like that the colours contrast. And yes, I wore leggings under them ‘cos I’ve fallen for the ‘leggings under distressed jeans look’.

  • Slightly frayed jeans

If you’re really not into the complete ‘tear or rip’ denim thing, and still want the vintage look that comes with it, then you can go for jeans with a ‘slightly frayed’ look. I paired this ‘lightly grazed’ stone washed jeans with a black sweater.
I hope you had fun reading this post. Keep looking beautiful!
