Tartans and plaids. Particularly associated with Scotland, tartan is the word used for a checkered pattern while a piece of cloth with a checkered pattern on it is referred to as plaid. Confusing, isn’t it?
Since tartan is often called plaid in North America, it has become acceptable to use the two terms interchangeably which is good and definitely going to save us all from the embarrassment of committing fashion blunder.
There’s something about tartan/plaid that I love so much. Maybe it’s the fact that it gives that ‘pop’ to one’s dressing, the fact that it’s colorful and playful or just the fact that it is beautiful! Well, whatever it is, I love it!
So today, I just want to talk about plaid skirts: Pencil, A-line or whatever the shape and how you can beautifully rock them. Enjoy!
