Hi hi! Happy new week everyone. How are you all doing? Done wrapping gifts? Ready for Christmas I guess. Officially only 8 days to go! It’s so exciting. This year’s Christmas is going to be more special for me because it’s my little man’s First Christmas! (He was born exactly 2 weeks after last year’s Christmas. i.e this year’s January). I’m hopefully looking forward to starting a new family tradition. 🙂
Anyway, let’s move on to today’s post which is about my leopard print shirt and paper bag pants outfit. Animal Prints trend is all the rave this Autumn/Winter 2018, the trend is back (though I didn’t even realize it left to be honest 😀) and this time with more mixing and matching options. There are lots of combinations out there: Leopard Prints with Tiger Prints combination, Snake Prints and Colour Blocking and so on. For my outfit in this post, I paired leopard print shirt with black paper bag pants. This is a very simple style, matching animal prints with black, you can start from there if you’re new to wearing animal prints.
There are so many ways you can introduce animal prints into your closet. Here are few tips to keep in mind:
- Accessories: You can pair your outfit with an animal print bag or belt. This is a very safe way to wear animal prints if you aren’t too comfortable with its fierceness.
- Shoes: Wearing animal prints shoes is another way to introduce animal prints to your wardrobe. Pair the shoes with solid colours like Red, White, Beige or Yellow and you’re good to go. Here’s a picture of a leopard print shoe from an old post. Click here to check the post.
- Shirt/Blouse/Coat: Pair your animal print shirt or blouse with solid colours or muted coloured pants or skirt. They also go very well with denim.
- Monochromatic Look: If you’re feeling very adventurous, you can wear animal prints from head to toe.
Once you get a hold of wearing animal prints, there are so many styling options out there that you can explore. I like to keep my style simple hence the combination with black pants and shoes. (Oh and I love these pants! They’re high waisted and fits just right, and also comes with belts for a more chic look.) Also, I didn’t wear those shoes walking in the snow 😀
